    What is wrong with him???

my beardie has been acting strange for a while now. He's iffy on the greens. Sometimes he'll devour them and other times he won't eat them at all. He is still eating his crickets though. But what is really worrying me is that he is SO TIRED. Sometimes, He trys to sleep at 4 in the...

How many crickets should a 17 inch beardie eat?

ok, but I know sub-adults/adults don't eat as much live feeders. Since I don't know his age, I don't know when I should start feeding less crickets. For now, I'm going to keep feeding 20 crickets twice a day. Does anyone know a length/weight when I should cut back on the feeders??? Thanks

How many crickets should a 17 inch beardie eat?

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on this site :( but I'm back for yet another question. My beardie, Ike, is now 17 inches long and 189.5 grams! It seems like just yesterday when he was only 11 inches and 55 grams... Anyway, back to the topic! I have NO idea how old he is. I...

    dubia problems.. please help!

I just got my dubias a few days ago with 250 small and 1 breeding pair. I put them in the bin with a heating pad, egg cartons, food and water crystals. Today, when I went to check on them I noticed the adult male has not moved since yesterday. I am pretty sure it is dead. I cant start my colony...

    Shedding causing lethargy?

UPDATE! Ike finished shedding today! His colors are super bright! My laptop charger broke so I can't upload pictures ): ( posting this from iPod touch). Anyway, he is full of energy and eating all of his food, but he still gets dark stress marks when he is in his tank! I have no idea what is...

    HMM!

my dragon is a few months old and is 1 foot and 1 inch.. I think you are underfeeding him. 5 mealworms daily seems very little. As for greens, lettuce has very little nutritional value. Try giving greens off of this list: http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html I think a more...

I'll update how he's acting after he's finished shedding. Hopefully this odd behavior is the result of the shed.

    Shedding causing lethargy?

thanks for replying! I didn't know a shed could be so stressful on beardies. You learn something new everyday! (: I'm going to up the baths to twice a day now to see if that helps ease the shed.

    Shedding causing lethargy?

hello, my beardie Ike has grown quite a bit since I got him. He went from 9 inches to 13 in the month I have had him. Because of this, he is shedding for the second time. The first shed went along smoothly; no loss of appetite or anything out of the ordinary. Now, this second shed has me...

    Food poisoning

kimmie, i couldn't agree with you more. You are harming your beardie by not giving it the best possible care.

    Food poisoning

You could try getting a ReptiSUN 10.0. Those are the best. Also, how many hours of light do you offer your beardie? What do you measure the temps with? Stick on thermometers are unreliable. Also, you said the crickets were eating the poo... Does that mean you keep the crickets in her tank...

    Am I doing everything right?

I am planning on getting a background for him so the white paper is temporary. :D I'm thinking he'll grow out of his stress marks sooner or later. After all, he is SUPER spoiled :D I also got tile to replace the carpet and he seems to enjoy it a lot more. Not to mention it is easier to...

    Tiles vs. Repti-Carpet

I just switched from reptile carpet to tiles. I really recommend it because it is A LOT easier to clean. Reptile carpet held odors and was a pain to keep clean. To tile the inside of my enclosure only cost $10! It also keeps their nails trimmed. :-)
