New 2010 Bearded Dragons Calendar now available!!!

Has anyone here ordered these (or going to order) from the UK? I don't understand the import tax / duty process and don't want to be paying a load of money on top of the already expensive PnP :( Am I better picking the economy delivery or choosing standard (£10 more), which includes duties and...

    Dermestids?

Hi, I have a handful of beardie hatchlings and have been ordering the crickets off the Internet. In the boxes with the crickets are these small furry looking bugs, which I have found are Dermestids. After a quick look over the Internet, some people claim they eat the cricket poop/waste whilst...

    Our Babies

Our female laid eggs about 5 weeks ago. A total of 27 eggs but 8 were infertile from the start. The remaining 19 began hatching 11-12 days ago. The strange thing is we had the eggs in two containers in the incubator. All the eggs in the first box completely hatched before ANY of the babies in...

    Housing and breeding

I'm no expert but from what I've picked up from reading round on the forums myself, the general consensus is to keep beardies seperate regardless of age or sex. They can appear to get along fine but one day you may find one of your dragons missing a tail, or they may just become stressed. They...

Is this thread of any relevance to your problems? http://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=105701 :D

    Heat Mat for Hatchlings

I've got it ingrained into my head that heating from underneath (heat-rocks / heat-mats) is a no-go for beardies as they can burn due to not having heat receptors on their underside? Or something to that effect anyway. Now I've never bred beardies before and I was never planning on using a...

    Feeding Hatchlings?

Supervised feeding... Gotcha  Will keep offering at regular intervals and keep you updated as to when they start feeding! 8 hatched now with 1 slit its egg. What's strange is the eggs were in two boxes. The 9 in the first have all hatched or slit their eggs, and the eggs in the other...

    Feeding Hatchlings?

Yes - brilliant thankyou. Am I just supposed to put a few crickets in the viv with the babies? If so, how many? If this is the case, there is one concern I have. I left one cricket running around this morning and it took to climbing on the babies and nibbling at them, causing them to jump away...

    Feeding Hatchlings?

Hi, Our first clutch of fertile eggs have just started to hatch over the last couple of days. 7 out of 19 fully out and 2 more with their eggs slit. I understand the babies may not have an appetite straight away, but I can't get any of them to eat. I have a small dish of finely chopped veg for...

    hatchlings question?

Wow, very strange. We have also been incubating our eggs for 2 months (since 19th April) and the first couple started making an appearance yesterday. We're also going to keep them in a 4x2x2 sectioned in half. 8) Good luck with your babies - here are a couple of pictures of our eggs!

    Transferring Crickets?

Very helpful and appreciate the fast reply :D I just had this image of baby crickets running around all of the house!

    Transferring Crickets?

Hi, We have our first clutch of eggs in the incubator, which are due to hatch in the not-too-distant future. One thing that is really stumping me is, how do we transfer the crickets from their container (rubbermaid or aquarium) to the vivs in order to feed the babies? Is it also alright...

    A Trip To The Park

I'm afraid I'm clueless when it comes to beardie breeds. She is ~16 months old, has a really small head compared to her body, has shades of orange on her beard and looks as though she has hints of blue on her back, though that could just be because she might be shedding

Another fake rock creation (images) - Part 2

We feed her on the other side of the tank and normally the crickets don't have any chance of getting past the ferocious beast towering over them. A couple have found their way under the rock but they're gobbled up once we lift the rock up and she sees them.

    A Trip To The Park

Whoops, I was going to mention the calendar in my first post. Will definately enter some pictures of her when the time comes around (if someone could kindly remind me)!
