I'm not 100% sure but I believe g stripe x g stripe is possible like hypo x hypo but to my knowledge it's somewhat unreliable in producing g stripe offspring so you certainly won't get a 100% g stripe clutch out of that cross.
Nice work! I used the exact same foam carving tool for my current enclosure's background which made the carving process much more fun than with regular household utensils. I've witnessed dragons climb some quite vertical surfaces if their nails can find enough purchase but I'm sure the beardie...
Thanks for the suggestion.
Given that most platforms are between 9 and 16 inches from the 10.0 tube, that it's not the exclusive uvb source as it's combined with a solar glo and I intend to dust feeders with a calcium+D3 powder I believe the D3 "problem" should be covered. Furthermore in my...
Good to hear! My personal preference is to keep a dragons "expedition" of rooms etc. to a minimum until they are at least 14 inches and even then exclusively with supervision. But great job finding her!
Given how fast even a baby dragon can run I wouldn't call any place too far. If you hear scratching then try locating the source. If it somehow doesn't end up being the Beardie I'd slowly work my way outward from the room in the search.
I'd try looking along the edges of the room and be extra careful to not squish her while moving furniture. I'd also look along the edges of the mattress. If there are other animals in the house be extremely wary of their behavior (if it's unfortunately not too late). Another suggestion would be...
I have a 5'x4'x3' and successfully heat it with a solar glo 125w on the left end and a Philips 45w equivalent halogen on the other end although I have a second 45w on that end for colder days. The basking sights are between 16" and 12" from the bulbs.
Hope that helps.
Hey, so generally for an adult you'll want the basking spot to be between 35-40 Celcius. I'd only use a ceramic heater if the ambient temps at night get below about 18 Celcius. In general, since they are from Australia the brighter the tank is the better. I've had allot of success using 40w...
Yeah the big enclosure in the picture will be the permanent home once he's out of quarantine and about 12-14 inches. In my experience they tend to be allot more active given the space and multiple elevated climbing spots.
