Thank you! This is why I asked. Most of my dubia are young and not likely to die off any time soon. I gave the adults away. Any recommendations of identification sites?
So I'm pretty sure I have cleaner beetle larvae that hitched a ride with my superworm shipment. Does anyone use these in their Dubia bins? I just downsized my dubias so I won't really need them. I just found a colony is too much for one beardie that is mostly done growing. I also don't live in...
I have mine on all the time to raise the ambient temp. My apartment has 10 ft ceilings so it's expensive to keep it super warm in the room. I live in CT and it's getting chilly here. I keep mine in the middle to provide a temp gradient that goes from highest to lowest. So from left to right it...
Hi everyone,
I want to get a scale for weighing my beardie. Any brands or models you guys can recommend? I have a scale but it is for too small of quantities.
Thanks!
First off set up: She has a 4x2 enclosure with the basking spot of 110*F. She has been sleeping under her platform. Under there doesn't get below 80*F. The cool side stays over 70*. There is a basking light and CHE. No water bowl. She has a 36" UVB T5 bulb as well. Her enclose substrate is tile...
Yes it did work out. Thanks! She is a year old and 16 inches long. And I believe she is in brumation. Hopefully not for long. I did get her tested for parasites in june so I know she went into it healthy. Just wasn't expecting her to do this so soon.
So I have a small Dubia breeder colony in a 10 gallon tote. They are doing well. I'm just curious how many adults I should keep in there. We just sorted and cleaned the feeder and colony bins. We have about 100 males and 300 females. I have read that it's better to have a 1:4 ratio so I should...
When I was planning my vivarium I looked through almost this whole thread. So much info and ideas in it. https://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=66704
Keep an eye on the humidity. A water bowl can raise it too high.
Otherwise, you guys look great together. It's awesome that someone who is willing to research and improve his home took him in :)
They probably wouldn't get along if housed together. It could be dangerous. I don't know when the tail part was lost. If it was in the pet store that's what would happen and then some. Many people have more than one beardie in separate enclosures successfully. I just don't know if they put them...
