First off set up: She has a 4x2 enclosure with the basking spot of 110*F. She has been sleeping under her platform. Under there doesn't get below 80*F. The cool side stays over 70*. There is a basking light and CHE. No water bowl. She has a 36" UVB T5 bulb as well. Her enclose substrate is tile with nothing loose to eat. She is over 16" nose to tail.
My beardie was a year in September. She has decided to brumate. This is the first reptile of mine that has. She ate a piece or two of greens and I was worried that there was not any poop. My husband and I give her baths regularly because of this. We also rub her stomach when she is in there in hopes of getting her to pass it.
Now my husband didn't exactly listen to me on how brumation works. She is pretty much his first reptile and he didn't read the article on here that I recommended. He said he will be reading it today. She perked up for a day and basked so he put out superworms for her when I was at work. Ugh. She ate a superworm and still hasn't gone to the bathroom. It's been probably a bit over a month since she pooped, with a couple of those weeks since the superworm. She hasn't lost any weight and is alert when we bathe her and she drinks some water too.
We are going to try the little bit of applesauce and oil method that I found on one of the threads on here. We have the organic unsweetened stuff. Any other tips or reassurances?
