Hey all! After my daughter's speech in class about Beardies, her teacher asked her if she was interested in bringing one into class. So, how do I go about doing this? I haven't taken my babies visiting before, the only travelling they've done was to come home (in their tank or a rubbermaid)...

Well that was what we were wondering - would the fixture have burnt out the bulbs that quick? Esp. when a regular bulb is fine in it? Just seems odd... and yes, we have a new fixture but still have the blackened out bulbs, and they won't work in it either, haven't had a chance to get a new one...

These are ballast fixtures, no flashers... and it's a new fixture, so I know it's the bulbs :( 48" ReptiSun 10.0's... ugh... Just weird that they only worked for a month and blew...

As in, if mine went black after the first day of use, and now after just a few weeks it won't go on, does that mean it's a bad bulb? And that the last 2 bulbs I've gotten were both bad because they only lasted a few weeks and blackened on one or both ends immediately? I had the first one...

The nostrils poke out once they're ready and you can either brush them away gently with your finger or pull them out with tweezers. I used my fingernails to pull the nostril sheds out. First time I did it I was shocked at how much extra skin was inside their noses! Ew! lol

The 100W bulb is hanging over top of the screen lid, not directly on top of it so it's not baking them in there, there's space for the extra heat to escape. Having the lights right on the lids makes it hard for us to get in there, so we rigged up a way to hang them above the vivs instead...
