ok I think the humidity dial was off, I tried one from my cigar humidor and it seems to about about 40 or 50 which seems more resonable... what kind of humidity device would you recommend (to a poor college student)
I have no water dish, I dont have any live plants, I just usually wash the fresh vegetables before giving them to him and it seems to be enough liquid for him. There is nothing else inside that could create humidity....
Hey, how do you lower humidity in an enclosure? I have the temperature perfect, but the humidity is like over 70, and I even changed the sand with dry sand, but its still high, are there any secret ways to lower humidity or anything?
I am using a ReptiGlo 10.0 UVB Compact on one end of the tank with a All Living Things Basking Bulb (75W) at the other end of the tank, with a regular indoor lightbulb in the middle to help regulate the heat. I feed him some veggies in the morning and then some in the evening, usually about 5pm...
thats all I have fed him in the last week, I gave him some small crickets about 8 days ago. the sand is sifted playsand and the basking temperature was measured at about 108 (with a degital probe) with the other end of the tank reading about 80-90 degrees (with a T-Rex round stick on thermometer).

Hey I just had a practical question.... how do you guys/gals regulate the 12/12 day/night cycle? Do you use the expensive power bars that pet stores sell or is there a cheaper alternative? I was thinking about trying my Home Depot/Lowe's to see if they had any kind of timers.
