seems thin? new to the household!

tail fat is low, compared to my other two. another soak tonight, more dirt off.. he's ok with baths, but not thrilled- the info i got back from previous owner- a bath maybe once a month if he 'looked dirty' or was 'constipated' and he's 4 years old. eating mustard and turnip greens well, along...

seems thin? new to the household!

so a friend(not close) called and said she needed to let her beardy, smaug, go as he was too expensive, and she knew i had two already, and would i take hers in? after discussing with the so, who was all about it, we brought smaug home. he seems thin, no 'fat pads' on his jowls, and very dirty...

    another baby.. :D

Smaug came home with us sunday, a friend was going to give him to feeder's supply as she felt he was costing too much! i jumped in, and now we have 3! i've been such a lurker lately! lighting sistuation fixed, and i swear he'd never had a proper bath. soo much dirt came off in his first soak...

    Sleeping standing up

agreed. seems normal. my little dude will zonk out in the oddest places! now he's sleeping on a stick every night, front legs grabbing with all their might(it seems) back stuck straight out! this, after about 2 weeks of upright corner sleeping. little nutjobs. :D

    Bathing Dragon while Lights off?

the others have said lights on, and i agree. if it helps, baby is still adjusting to the new digs.. my little guy took about a week to calm down. and hated hated baths- he'd squirm like the dickens when he heard a faucet! i jut held him on my hand, and let him sit on me- about a month later, he...

What is your bearded dragon's name?

after going around on names for the baby, ulysses s. grant came to mind-thinking about famous bearded fellows. when we got the older one, we tried pirate names, specifically jewish pirate names. i like 'actual' (like, used? for people? i guess.. :P) in faintly ridiculous situations. so big guy...

Is this a good buy for a new tank setup???

stay away from the dome kits, they hold the dreaded coil/compact florescent! a tube uvb, like the reptisun 10.0.. you can get a simple ballast (the thing that holds it) at lowes for a good price, and several pet stores sell the tube in smaller lengths. i bought mine from petsmountain.com, they...

    another once-a-day eating post!

cool- lights are on at least an hour before feeds, temps read well (probe thermometer) but he does eat well in the am, 20 crix or so before he stops. but aside from a few bites of salad the rest of the day, he actually turns up his nose at them the rest of the time. he's growing, and active...
