Yes, it was more like a squeak. I haven't heard any popping, as far as I know.

Gizmo has been eating fine, basking, and everything else seems normal. But I have noticed he has been a little less active, and a couple of times he has made this wimpering noise when breathing. It's not popping, and I wouldn't consider it wheezing. It's just like a quiet, high pitched whimper...

Yes, the basking light and the UVB light are on opposite sides. And he has a rock that he likes to climb on on that side of the tank, close to the UVB light.

My bearded dragon seems to be acting a little bit funny. He seems sort of deprived of energy, and he has been burping a little. I'm sure I'm just over reacting, but is he ok? He is eating ok, and his temperatures are alright.

No, he has not done it since. Squawking probably wasn't the best word to describe it, but I didn't know how else to. It was probably a burp.

Well I'm sitting on the computer and all of a sudden I hear a freaky noise coming from Gizmo's viv. I look over and he seems fine. he's just basking. It was sort of a squawking noise, it was hard to explain. I have never heard him do this. Is this normal?

Thanks! This is what I thought, but I was unsure. My local reptile store uses sand (most likely reptisand). Also, the previous owner of Gizmo used this sand. I'm not sure what type of sand it is though. I don't really trust the previous owner, because she did not use a UV light either. Anyways...
