**Update** Adventures of Rocky the Rescue

Rocky has been with us for just over a month and I think it's safe to say, he's settling in nicely.

I was leaving the house a few days ago and when I went to say "bye" to Rocky, I noticed that his hammock had fallen down. I didn't have time to fix it, so I moved him away from it and left it down; hoping that he wouldn't get back on it. Well...as we all know, our dragons LOVE their hammocks. This is what I found when I returned home, a few hours later:

Rocky, back on his fallen hammock. Using his tail to hold him up.

I decided to remove the hammock altogether for a while. Rocky was having none of that. From that day forward, he has been pooping on his basking spot, right where his hammock had been. And then he lays in it. I think this is an all out "Hammock Protest."

I had to give him a bath to get the poo off his belly and he tried his best to escape.

I want to put paper towels down on his basking spot to make clean up easier, but this guy is terrified of them! He freaks out every time I come near his tank with paper towels in my hand.

I am such a proud beardie mama. I love this guy and can't wait to share more of his adventures.

Looks like he's saying that he'd never want to be accused of being a party pooper but if you just hold me over that cake.....

I would suppose he'll get over it once he realizes that the new bulb is better than the old one?

I sure hope so. It might be possible that he's not pissed at me after all. I hear hammering outside at my neighbor's house. He hates loud outside noises and hammering ranks right up there with the recycling truck. He's currently hiding his head in his tree. Who knows.

When did you get the tumor removed? Sorry. Things like that creep/gross me out but I'm also fascinated by them.

The tumor was removed on May 10, 2016.

I guess I'm lucky that my beardie doesn't seem bothered by loud noises as long as he's at home in his familiar surroundings -- we get snowplows, air force jets, sirens, etc, and I guess he's gotten used to all that -- although I have noticed that sudden noises do seem to startle him when he's in a strange place. Except for our famous Alaskan earthquakes --he definitely notices those  no matter where he is.

Crazy big! My last dragon's top weight was around 500g. This guys seems huge compared to that. And he's even gained quite a bit since summer - he was 667g back then. So happy that he's thriving despite his health issues! :blob8:

Happy Saturday! Rocky is starting this beautiful weekend with a bit of constipation. Tried a warm bath, but no go. Luckily, I had some unsweetened applesauce on hand. Mixed it with a few drops of my hubby's imported olive oil (only the best for Rocky.) Fingers crossed that things will start moving in the right direction soon. Going to give him a bit of privacy and check on him later.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
