Hi. I was just wondering if it is safe to add a tiny amount of fruit juice to the water to try and get them to drink. I read somewhere that’s it’s ok until they get used to drinking from water dish.

A little bit probably won't be harmful but sugar isn't great for them. Not all of them want to drink from a dish and that's OK if they're getting plenty of fresh food and bugs. As far as training them to drink from a dish, a lot of the ones that do tend to respond to movement of the water so flicking the water with your finger can help.

Thanks. Yes I wouldn’t give juice long term I’ve tried flicking the water and and spraying the leaves of the fake plants. But generally she isn’t interested. Her veg is sprayed a little and she has a long soak once a week. :)

Better off offering something like apple juice or a little bit of honey .

I know some people add fruit juice to dry VetaFarm lizard pellets to encourage their skinks and dragons to eat them.

Cordial , I'd avoid.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
