Whats better than a Baby Beardie? 2 Babies!

Meet Athena (#4) and Persephone (#8)

I always meant to start Dobby a thread and now its too late And my husband has just bought me these 2 beautiful babies from troyncindy on here They came with a colony of dubia, so if your looking for a baby beardie I'd def suggest checking out their ad in the for sale section on here

My hubby actually just pulled in, so let me go show off the babies to him, and stay tuned.. MANY more pics to come.

The domination depends on the beardie's personality. Some males are calm sweethearts and others are more aggressive and the same with females. Goldie was older and never attacked Rosie except when the few times she got tired of Rosie coming after Goldie. We were able to put a stop to it mainly because Rosie only did it occasionally and only usually in the spring when her hormones got going overboard.

I think its funny that we were all worried about the bigger one picking on the little one...and we had it all backward. But we'll have them separated soon, I wonder how different they are gonna act once their separated... And Im hoping those dang stress marks will go away... Dobby didnt have his near as long...Ive had them for what 2 weeks now...

Goldie was older and never attacked Rosie except when the few times she got tired of Rosie coming after Goldie. We were able to put a stop to it mainly because Rosie only did it occasionally and only usually in the spring when her hormones got going overboard.

Did you have them housed together? I plan on separating mine but see mixed reviews, a lot of ppl swear they should live alone, but theres also lots who house them together. As a medium ground, I plan on keeping them separate, but still putting them together on a daily basis... for baths and cuddles. I dont want them to forget the other is there :lol:

So it was rlly pretty outside today, and I decided to take my babies outside with me... I think they enjoyed it and Athena's stress marks went bye bye today (Persephone's are still there but very light)..cause for celebration... And pics!

No we didn't have them housed together. The way Rosie was a couple of years ago I would never house them together. We did have them out together and gave them baths in the same plastic tub together. Rosie does know that Goldie is gone so she gives us more love and snuggles but I let her know she can still sleep for days if she wants to. Our first two we wouldn't separate as they were best friends. They were always talking together and when we lost Miss Y, her sister, Miss O was depressed.

Yea Persephone had a lot of red popping out on her out in the sun today Athena still hasnt shed, well just her tail.. Her tail has little bits of light orange in it so far... by her ears its a rlly pale yellow and LIGHT orange, so thats what Im expecting. Pers' ears have bright bright red, so I cant wait for these 2 to grow up, I love watching their colors change from shed to shed. And I believe Pers is fixing to shed again cause shes rubbing her face on anything she can. But Im taking pics daily so I can look back and see the difference. So youll always get to see your grand dragons!

A couple more pics... Im just soo happy the stress marks have faded! But were coming up on our "big move" and Im hoping being separated and having a new house isnt gonna throw them for too big of a loop :?

I hope so too... I dread having to go thru relocation stress again Maybe it wont be so bad *fingers crossed*

I think I'm gonna hold off for a while longer. They seem to really enjoy each others company for right now. I know that could change soon, but for now they are fine.
