falcor & tolkien's fun fotos thread *new pics pg 14*

so, falcor is my first beardie. she has been doing this spring fever thing for close to a month now...driving me nuts! she eats barely anything and just wants to stare out the window and run around the house and try to climb walls!!! she eats next to nothing, only the occasional roach (1-3 per week!) absolutely wont go near her veggies (she used to LOVE her salads??!!!) and only eats baby food mixed with critical care!!!! last month she weighed in at 470 grams, now she's down to 461...hopefully she doesn't drop much more weight. i've tried everything, superworms, hornworms, waxworms, butterworms, silkworms, NUTTIN! she looks at me like im crazy...which i possibly am!!!!! so, in my insanity, i made a comic strip to make myself feel better. plus, i'ver heard & seen people here like comic strips!!! so here ya go!

I had fun making that!!!

but, seriously, that is ALL she does....stares and stares hours upon hours out the window...!!!!! LOL

i will return with more comics!

do they ever return to their normal selves? or is it endless craziness here on out?

I like those Halloween pics you did. Were they photo-shopped? They are very good. I just noticed the look in your beardie's eyes in the second pic, it was almost as if he was saying "can you hurry up with this I want this hat off?" :lol: They are soo funny.

thanks guys. all i did was add an orange filter over top the of my photos! wallah, instant halloweenish-glow goodness!!

of course! that would work and that's why everything looks orange. I should have figured that out as my husband takes lots of pics and he's used various filters, just doesn't have an orange one. I like the drawings behind your beardie, they looked good.

hi guys, so, i'm visiting my sister again for one last time before she heads back to cleveland (sad now )

anywho, tolkien is with us again for the trip. outside of the window there was a wasp flying around, and he went nuts trying to get it, he really really really wanted to eat that wasp. as normal, i was worried what would have happened, if he 'had' eaten that wasp. but, it got us all to thinking what a beardie would eat in their natural australian habitat. i've looked around on the internet, but there really isnt specific info on what they really eat? would a wasp be toxic to a beardie? what else would they eat?
i'd imagine they would be eating lots of beetles, ants, other bugs? but i dont know what dwells on the grounds of australia!!!

anyone? any good links or sites i can go read? maybe this topic is here some place? i cant seem to find anything myself. just got me to thinking what they do there in the 'outback'

Its best not to give your beardie stuff like that. It could sting them and close up there throat possilbly. So here is something I found ...a yahoo answer thing.

ohhh i would never 'give' any of my beardies something like that, i was just asking what would happen if he would get ahold of one, say when you have your beardie outside with you, etc. beardies are extremely fast at grabbing things!!! there are many times that bugs fly by when you are outside!!!
i wouldnt expect a wasp/bee to be tasty, but then again i am not a beardie! would stings affect a beardie as they would a human? there are many factors, i'm sure there have been beardies in the wild that have eaten something they regret!!!

the wasp was outside, not in, he was attacking the glass where the wasp was on the outside!!!
