Sara, thats hilarous how you got Brian to name his little one Tyson! LOL Keep throwing the names this way, sooner or later somethings gonna stick!

So, here are the pics, as promised!

Yesterday afternoon:

Here she is this morning, enjoying her dubias (yesterday was the first time she'd ever had them and she's really liking them).

I had just set the bowl in and the movement had her attention immediately!

She was like: Oh, Hello little bugs, nom-nom!

Here she was eyeing the last to trying to decide which to grab first!

She ate 11 dubia, then kept eyeing the bowl so I added 5 more. She ate 3, took a break, then gobbled down the last 2. 5 minutes later, big poop! LOL

Her new viv will be done and ready for her to move in by Fri or Sat. Hubby picked up the wood and stuff on Sunday, and is picking up the glass tomorrow. Since he has a short day tomorrow, he'll have it mostly completed by tomorrow night and a couple coats of polyurethane on the wood so it can all dry and air out for a few days. I'll be glad when it's done, the breeder tank I have her in is a very small one, but it'll do for a couple more days. I just hate seeing her in such a small space, even for a few days. I had planned on using a large tote for a temp viv, but when I went to walmart all the had were small totes or gigantic ones with rollers on the bottom. Damn! LOL Figures!

So I hope the ton of pics I posted will satisfy you pic whores for now! LOL I'll try to post some more tomorrow.

Her colors seem much brighter today. She seemed a little dark Sun and Mon, due to stress I assume. She really is a pretty little girl! I'm really happy that she is settling in to her new home so quickly. She's basking, eating, pooping and exploring and not at all skittish when we pick her up. I think this move has gone well for her.

Great pics Sandy! She is a pretty girl! Good to hear that she's not overly stressed from moving. I can't come up with names either, I have to get a feel for their personality.

Thanks Lance! I noticed that when she was out running around the couch today that the stress marks were much lighter than on Sun or Mon. Could you tell she really likes dubias?! LOL She was all over that bowl! Hopefully I'll be able to get some weight on her really soon and she'll grow a little more. I think her growth may have been stunted slightly by the semi-brumation (which I'm sure was brought on by the previous owner only having her lights on from 8am to 4 pm daily-way too short). She could still gain a little length in the next 6 months.

Thanks Katrina. I think my difficulty in picking a name is the same reason, still trying to get a feel for her personality. As she becomes less nervous with her surroundings, I expect to see a lot more of her personality present itself. She is a sweetie though. She spotted Assassin today and gave him a couple tiny headbobs, then did an arm wave, first with the left front leg then with the right front. It was hilarious. Then she snubbed him again and ignored him while she explored the couch! Poor guy! LOL

One of the names I am considering is Marilyn Monroe. One of my adult females is named Mae West after the actress who was a naughty, sexy actress in the 40s, 50s and early 60s. She was famous for her "suggestive" lines (ever hear the line: "is that a pickle in your pocket? Or are you just happy to see me"-that was Mae West). Kinda thinking another sexy actress name might work. I don't know, still pretty undecided.

Sandy, she's really sweet looking! Congrats on the new kid. Her color is really cool. I like the movie star name for her! I am trying to think of some good redheaded names-Lucille ball is the first one, Or Veronica Lake, Ginger Rodgers and Harlow as in Jean, which would be most fitting with Mae. Most of my critters have "star" names names like Norton, Trixie and Ralph; Kingfish and Saphire; and Lamont Cranston!

Thanks Liz! She is sweet. I thought it was cute how she arm waved and headbobbed at Assassin today. Just a tiny bit of sassy/flirty attitude! LOL I'm still thinking on the name. I kinda like Marilyn, but haven't fully decided. First I was trying to think of things associated with red, like the names already mentioned, but nothing seemed to fit. I like Lucille Ball or Ginger Rogers (Ginger was a very sexy actress too). Ok, now I think my brain is overloading and smoke is coming outta my ears! LOL

I know! coming up with a just right name is HARD! It's good to take your time and wait til one just fits. You'll know. I got to pick the name for our new one. A first in a long time- LOL

I've picked the names for all of mine, but each one took me a few days to make a decision. I'm pathetic! LOL The previous owners sons had given her a silly little name, something to do with her color and I can't remember it. Besides, the boys paid so little attention to her so it seems like the name was rarely used so I feel justified in giving her a new name. Just have to decide what name! LOL

Thanks girls! She's doing really well, she ate 13 dubia this morning and 5 more in the late afternoon and about 1/2 her greens/squash. We've had poo every day, yesterday was a little runny but I think this is due to her digestive tract adjusting to the new feeders (which she loves).
Today the poo was back to a more normal consistancy. In a couple weeks we'll do a fecal, want to make sure there are no parasites. Then a few weeks later, all the kids will be going for checkups.

Construction on the new viv begins tomorrow (a couple days late due to hold up on the glass shipment due to the weather). Hubby will have it all together by late tomorrow or early Sat. Then the sealant on the wood to dry a couple days, so, this little one should be in the new viv by Tues.

No, I haven't chosen the name yet, still debating 2 or 3 names. I'll have more pics to post either late Fri or on Sat.
