    Bearded Dragon Laying Eggs!!*

Hey there, I hope your little lady is doing OK. If she doesn't feel like she has a good place to lay her eggs or she's disturbed while she's laying, she will stop. You'll definitely need to separate her from the male (make sure she can't see him). Has she been digging and restless? You can...

    Baby with MBD - HELP!

We use the Home Depot clamp fixtures (they're about $10) for the basking spots for our lizards, and they work fine. It's essential that you get the UVB light directly on the dragon without the screen, the screen will prevent a significant amount (if not all) of the UVB rays from reaching him...

    coccidia treatment, not eating

She's a pretty girl! Glad to hear that she's doing a little better. I found the care page on this site for "SUPPORTIVE CARE DURING TREATMENT for COCCIDIA" to be REALLY helpful-- I'm actually treating a couple of my little guys for coccidosis right now. It's rough on them for sure.

Thank you so much, everyone, for you help! We incubate cooler for longer as well- his little yolk sack is all gone. We have two completely out now- very exciting, and very cute! Going to have a lot of work ahead of us :)

How do i prepare fresh collards?

The lizards can't eat the large veins on the leaf. For preparation, I like to wash the greens (whether they be collard, mustard [my lizards' favorite!], or others) all at once, then dry them thoroughly in a salad spinner. Then I chop them up and put them into a tupperware with a paper towel in...

First Hatchlings! A question... (moving this post to here)

That makes sense! The incubator is pretty small, so I don't think I have enough room for individual tubs. Would putting him on damp paper towels under a CHE work? Otherwise, I might just find another way to improvise!

You can get Acidophiliz from the Beautiful Dragons site as well- that's what I use for my dragons. It's $5 for 2oz liquid that lasts quite awhile. I try to get everything from that site because I know it's helping their rescue! :)

    abused neglected beardie please help

Hey Ashlee, Glad to hear that your little friend is doing better :) Be careful with the amount of carrots you feed him-- he can get too much vitamin A and wind up with Vitamin A toxicity. You can feed him carrots occasionally. The turnip greens are a great staple! My dragons love mustard greens...

    First Hatchlings! A question...

Hi there, Our first clutch of eggs is starting to hatch! It's really exciting, but all very new, as this is our first clutch. I checked the eggs when I got home from work, and much to my surprise, was missing a dragon! I saw a collapsed egg with no dragon next to it. I looked a little harder...
