Zoo Med Reptibator Incubator Review

I thought I would give the reptibator a review since I havae been using it for a while.

Pros:
1.Easy to operate.
2.Saves temp setting when unplugged.
3. Digital.
4.Temp and humidity display.
5. Easy to set temp.

Cons:
1.You have to fill the bottom resivoir up once a day. (hovabator Once a month)
2. Temp is not accurate a degree or two off.
3.Humidity doesnt stay up.
4.Cheap plastic top.
5. Temp alarm doesnt work.


My overall star rating out of ten is 5/10.
This item I am not very satisfied with. Not accurate temp, So an extra thermometer is needed.
If I was you I would stick with a hovabator.

I have a buddie that has it now and I am helping him set it up and from what I see it is not worth the money.

Yep. Exactly right, stick with hovabators.

I as well gave this incubator a chance. I purchased one months ago and have used it twice for two clutches of eggs. Although I have had the same hatch rate as when using my hovabators, this incubator just is not worth the money. The plastic lid that just basically sits on top is a terrible design. The temps are way off and it does not hold humidity very well. I have actually customized mine to work a lot better and will probably continue to use it this way. But for someone spending that amount of money, they should have to do no customizing....

Stick with the hovabator....
