Hi everyone! It's been quite a while since I've posted.

I have a female beardie, 15 months old, who I've had since she was 8 weeks old. She has had a prolapse, which she is being treated for (I have seen the vet 4 times, most recent visit was yesterday). I was worried about her having eggs in her belly so the vet and I have visited alot recently. lol She has been telling me she doesn't feel any eggs in there and less than 8 hours later, Zoey passed 4! I was cuddling with her last night and as she was pancaked on my chest, I could feel a twitch or spasm in her belly every few seconds, at one point 1-2 times per second. The vet started her on Critcal Care as of yesterday so thought since she was having so many belly issues (prolapse and diarrhea for 3-4 weeks), maybe she was just trying to digest the CC. She wasn't sleeping like she usually does during cuddle time, so I finally turned the light on and checked on her. She seemed fine, just that she wasn't actually sleeping...she was still, except for her leg moving but not sleeping. She has NEVER been awake during cuddle time when it's dark. So after checking on her leg (which she was moving slightly as if she couldn't get comfy), everything seemed fine. She sleeps in a blankie at night (yes, I'm one of those!!) and when she sees her blanket, she walks in there on her own. So as she stepped in her blanket, 2 eggs rolled down my shirt! You can imagine my surprise as the vet JUST said she couldn't feel any eggs! (They are infertile by the way.) I put her back on my shirt to cuddle as it seemed that was where she really wanted to be and she passed 2 more, for a total of 4 so far. This is not only my first beardie, but my first reptile so I was naive enough to assume they passed them all at once. She was only passing one egg every 30-60 minutes. We just woke her up and she passed no more during the night, but from the size of her belly I am positive there will be more to come. My daughter just gave her a nice warm bath, so maybe that will help her, if not to lay more, but to perk her up.. She was so exhausted after the 4th one, it was all she could do just to drink from a syringe. As I had no idea this was coming, I have no lay box and she only seems to lay while she is cuddling on me, her head buried in my hair. Now yesterday, along with the Critical Care, they gave me a prescription dose of calcium, which I am to give her for the next 30 days (thank God they gave me this as I know it will help her alot more now). As I said, we've been going to the vet every 2-3 weeks because of the prolapse and she has been putting on about 15 grams each time we went back. Yesterday she was 450 grams. It was a surprise to me as I can tell, even though she is eating alot, I could see the base of her tail was thinning and her fats pads on her head, behind her eye, were visibly smaller. Ok, so here is the question...how do you know when this is over?? What can I do to make her feel more comfortable?

I just went in the house to see how she did in the bath and she is acting strange again. My daughter was holding her but all she wanted was me. So I took her and have her cuddled under my hoodie at the moment and she is just limp against me as she was last night. I mean awake and alert, but just doing some serious cuddling. :) She is a momma's girl. We are together all day long (if I could I would just cuddle her all day long!) as I can't work so we have a bond that is very strong. I am not sure she would even lay any on my daughter.

Ok, I know I've forgotten things...my mind is a bit scattered at the moment (I feel like I've just given birth instead of Zoey!). Incase anyone asks, I'll give you info on her setup. Thanks to this site I have it all as it should be!! :D

She is in a 40 breeder, paper towels for substrate, clear house bulb for basking light, reptisun 10.0 UV, changed out every 4-5 months (she just got a new one a week or two ago), basking spot is 102-104, cool side in the 80's. I have a probe for temps, also a temp gun, humidity gauge in her viv, always aim for 35-40%. She gets medium crickets (as many as she will eat and I feed her outside her viv so there are never any lives ones running around in there) daily and squash (it's the only veggie she really loves that's on the list). Calcium 5 times a week, multivitamins twice a week. We have two CHEs, one is 100 watt, the other is 60 watt. If the house gets under 67, we use one of those at night. Since the prolapse, she gets a bath daily, KY jelly when it comes out to keep it moist, and I always keep it clean so we don't have to worry about infection. I offer her water multiple times a day via a syringe, as much as she wants it. She has been drinking SOOO much lately. One sitting she drank TWELVE syringes of water!! 12! After seeing her lay these eggs, I see why she drank so much. Poor little baby. She gets probiotics (from bd.or) daily plus acidopholiz (spelling is bad, I know!) Her viv is cleaned on a regular basis, with the pink stuff from Cheryl (bd.or)...GREAT STUFF!! I also add that to her laundry when I wash her blankets, on sanitary cycle. We did just battle coccidia a month or so ago but we managed to get rid of it the first time (WOO HOO!). I do bathe her blankets regularly and first rinse, then bake her logs to kill any germs. She goes to the vet on a regular basis, and has a follow up on Friday from yesterday's visit. I am going to have them do x-rays...I was planning on it anyway, but after her laying eggs, I think it's a necessity.

I think (I hope!) I remembered everything.

Thank you for any comments, suggestions, advice. This site is the BEST!! :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
