Hi everyone,

I have just take delivery (at 2am this morning!) of my 2 new beardies from http://www.wheredragonsdwell.com/.

I have a Hypo Citrus Tiger Leatherback female - Zippy... and a Red Citrus Female - Elmo... they are gorgeous!

They are both eating well straight away so I hope it continues! No sign of relocation stress.

I will be posting some pics soon, once they have settled in!

What pretty babies! Although, Spike looked like he was giving you the stink eye LOL. Congrats on your new additions. How long will you house them together before they have their own areas? Just curious, I literally only know what I am learning on this site LOL.

Yes, the plan was to get one... but I couldn't resist and ended up choosing two!

I will be watching them closely and see how they get along. They have been together since about 2 weeks old and are the same size. I have a few reptile shops within an hours drive of my house so I can go and get supplies if i think they need seperating.

At the moment they are doing great, I haven't seen them arm waving or puffing their beard at each other, both are eating well. They each have their own basking platform so don't sit on top of each other to get the heat, and the UVB runs the full length of the vivarium so they both have exposure to that.

They both slept together in one of the hides last night, so cute!

I am keeping my fingers crossed they will be ok together, but as i said, i am aware they may need seperating and will be watchng them closely.

So heres an update guys...

Well, since I got Zippy and Elmo I have been reading up alot on cohabiting beardies, I have read alot of people keep females together ok. However I've also read a few 'horror stories' on here and I am now rather worried!

So my plan is to seperate them after xmas. They are both getting along ok and eating well at the moment, but they're still both young. I am really worried they could turn on each other one day so I will be ordering a new vivarium next week.

Yes they are getting big so quickly!!!

Last weigh in Zippy was 130g and Elmo was 105g, but that was last week so I'm sure they have grown more since. They have doubled in the month and a half I've had them!

Since I gave them locust they have "gone off" the crickets! so they're costing me a fortune  they're spoilt! lol

I have some more pics which I keep meaning to post. I will do it once I have finished my set of shifts... I am on nights tonight and tomorrow.

How big is Travis now? Have you posted any recent pics of him?

Travis is up to 16.75 inches and 240g and quickly outgrowing his viv... hes been having a hard time shedding so he hasnt grown much in the past week. There are a few pics on his thread :) I think the last I posted were about a week ago.

Oh my, Travis was the same. I just told him, if he didnt eat the crickets he would have to go hungry! He has gone off roaches now too! But he is big enough for superworms now so I am slowly introducing them! But he adores the locusts. I give them about once a week now otherwise it would completely break the bank!!!

Cant wait to see new pics :D

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
