My question is if this light is adequate for a 38 gallon tank? The basking temperature is usually right around 100* but the light itself doesn't seem strong enough for the entire viv or am I getting neurotic about my beardie's care? Should I put another light on the other end of the tank and if so what do you suggest? Merlin's young... probably a little over a month. I just don't want him to become a statistic. Thanks to all who answer... I bought this light because they said at the store it was the best I could get him. Duh, I thought they knew what they were talking about???? Now I'm not so sure...

If yes then you are right to be concerned as the UVB bulb used for this is crap and doesnt do anything for them.I would return it and get a LINEAR ReptiSUN 10 and seperate dome for heat which could be used with any ordinary household bulb for heat as long as you can reach the desired basking temp(95f-110F basking SURFACE temp measure with probe/stickons and dials dont work).
