Zilla 8 1/2 premium reflector dome?

My boyfriend got the zilla 8 1/2 inch premium reflector some that he's not using anymore. I'm pretty sure it has a ceramic socket and it says good for up to 150 watts. Should this be okay to hold a basking bulb? Is zilla okay for the dome? Also, it came with a 150 watt incandescent "day" bulb. Could I use this as a basking bulb Or is too much wattage?
Thanks guys, hoping to save money and use this but if it's no good, do you have any recommendations for a dome and a basking bulb?

That done is fine. The brand really doesn't make much difference at all.

There is no such thing as "too much wattage" in general, only too much heat, since that's the point of the bulb. You just want enough wattage to give you the heat amount you're looking for. For instance, I use a 60watt bulb on the cool side of my tank - I could use a 75watt bulb and just raise it up a little. The wattage doesn't matter, just the resultant temperature.

150w might work fine for you depending on the size of your tank and the distance to your basking spot, so try it out!
