Ziggy's acting a bit unsteady...

We took Ziggy (7/14/2012 approx dob) with us for Labor Day weekend at the beach. We have a small 20 gal set up for our in-laws leased beach house that stays there. It has a basking rock, wood hide, reptile carpet and heat lamp. No UVB. The temps were also a little low at 98 degrees on the hot side directly on the basking rock (measured with a temp probe), and 86 at the cool end. It was 72 for the overnight temperature. I need to bring a larger wattage bulb for the next trip. I took Ziggy outside for 10-15 minutes each day by the pool, I would have kept him out longer but he kept trying to run around and wouldn't sit still. I was afraid I'd lose him. I also didn't have anything other than the glass enclosure to put him in outside to increase the amount of sun time. I've heard that glass will increase the temperature dramatically so decided to err on the side of caution and not bring him out in it. This was Ziggy's first trip there. He seemed to be doing really well and ate collard greens and reptiworms all 4 days that we were gone. We didn't bring calcium or vitamins to dust with. He was pretty stressed with his tummy patterns for most of the trip.

We arrived home last night. Today, while hand feeding greens, Ziggy lunged for them and almost toppled over twice. I fed him eight pieces total and he ate 3-4 more on his own as well. One of the bites on his own seemed a bit unsteady too. Do they get car sick? We brought him home late last night, then he slept and the greens were fed this morning.

I'm wondering if it was his young age and the lack of UVB, vitamins, calcium, etc. Will this clear up soon or should I call our Vet for an appointment? Each of the hand fed pieces of greens this AM had calcium dust on them.

Please help put my mind at ease since I'm really stressing out here. Thanks for any and all comments.

sorry to hear ziggy's not feeling himself!
I would say that he is feeling a little off sorts due to the moving about, and change of routine/location.
perhaps observe him for another couple of days and see If he starts to return to normal

He's steady on his feet now, but he isn't being nearly as active. I'm still watching him for any changes. He had a bath today for 15 minutes but didn't drink any water. He ate well (about 35 small reptiworms and 15 small pieces of collard greens w/ vitamins).

it's great that he's eating again... and seeming more steady, shows that he's making progress.
as for the drinking, have you tried dripping some water onto his nose so that he licks it off? it won't give him a large amount of water, but atleast you'll know he's had some

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
