Zakhari isn't eating

Is it normal for a bearded dragon to lose their appetite for a day or so? Zakhari was eating about 40 crickets a day, 10 phoenix worms, and collard greens. Today he hardly touched his greens, ate only a couple of crickets and no pw.

What are the basking temps? 105-110
What is the cool side temp? 80-85

Where exactly are you taking your basking temps? basking rock (warm side of the tank)
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad? no
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific. about 50 crickets and 10 phoenix worms a day with greens (usually collards, mustard greens, or endive)
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)? 3 times a day, around 7am I mist him and give him his greens, 9am he gets his dusted crickets, 12pm he gets his 10 phoenix worms, 3pm he gets more dusted crickets
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc? Yes, they get cricket food
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them? yes, repti calcium with D3 every time he is fed crickets and herptivite (multi-vitamins) with beta carotene once a week (rep-cal)

I wouldn't worry just yet. We were having the same problem with Zoom Zoom last week. She ate one piece of greens last Thursday and 7 phoenix worms, all day. Then the next day, all she ate was maybe a piece of carrot and a piece of collards, maybe. She started eating better a couple of days after last Friday. I wouldn't worry just yet. I guess sometimes they just slow down a little. Part of your problem could be due to your reptiglo 10, tho I can't be sure as I've never used that one. Since I found this place I've only used the Reptisun 10 tube. I'm glad you are using the tube instead of the coils, especially after all I've read about what the coil and compacts do to reptiles.

yes the one thing i would reccomend is to shut off that light

she will be better with out it until you get the reptisun

people have noticed changes within hours of turning that light off


also i would get her a little closer to the bulbs too 6-8 inches

and for suppliments you want to do pure calcium(no d3 or phosphorus) 5x a week and calcium w/ d3 1x a week and then the multi vit 1x a week

they can overdose on d3 if they get too much
