Sorry that I've been a little slow on updating here...been really busy with caring for the beardies and with the babies it takes away from photoshoot time. I'll try an get some new pic's Monday...today I'm being as lazy as I can...which means I'm not dealin' with photobucket.

I was looking at them and my friend was so interested she kicked me off of the computer to check out your thread. I made sure to tell her how abused they were.

Dolcemer! Are you spreading rumors about Barbara and the boys again?! My ET Is on her way to pay you a visit as we speak! Don't be surprised if you hear Ding! Dong! in a few minutes. She is very fast, that twin of mine is!

Okay everyone I have to talk about something for a minute...something that's been really bothering me for several days...being this is my thread I can go off topic right?

Okay I found out last week that my daughter has a serious eating disorder.....she's a beautiful young lady...
but anyhow the last 3 weeks or so she has lost a major amount of weight....she's not on drugs. She has been forcing herself to :puke: . I'm really scared!  Anyhow as I sit here crying right now just thinking about it...you can imagine how upset I must have been when I discovered this...I'm not prepared to burry one of my children.  Okay so on the second day of basically crying the majority of the time. To the point of my eyes being swollen and puffy. Frank the sweetheart that he is decides to try his attemp at cheering me up so he suggest that we go buy some supplies for the new puppy an of course take Z&W for a ride...he also realizes that sharing the boys always seems to brighten my day. So we leave the house....Have any of you ever had a bad day where you left the house without really getting dressed for public or as little as brush your hair?...Well that's what I did...I soon forgot of the problem with my daughter for awhile...just like Frank had planned. Frank still making effort to comfort me suggest that we get some fast food for the kids so I don't have to make lunch when we get home.

While we are waiting for our order Checker's, Zak, and Wheezie entertain the crowd as usual. So we get our order and head for the car...just as I open the door to set the bags down and get in this young man runs up to me...before I go any farther with this story let tell you what thought was going thru my head....Do you remember when your mother or grandmother would say, "Never leave the house without putting on clean underwear?" Or something along those lines? I take that as always be prepared when you leave home because you never know what might happen.....Okay back to the story this young man had just left the seen of a huge fire...yes it was a news reporter. As he asked for me to please.....all I could think of was how I left home not prepared. So sense Frank has threatened me that if I didn't post this....that he would when he gets home I figure I'd better. Darn I just had to teach him how to copy and paste links.

Moral of the story never leave home without putting on clean underwear!
(or getting dressed, or brushing your hair, putting on make-up, oh and don't forget the sunglasses if you have been crying)

OMG!!! Barbara that is totally awesome :blob5: :blob8:

They are definitely not camera shy. And I must say... you did great also.

I am sorry to hear about your daughter. Being a parent is hard enough without having to worry about the extra stuff. My childen chose to live with their father in the midwest, so whenever they are going through something, it's hard for me to not physically be there for them.

Hugs and beardie waves  (but not from the beach anymore  )

Thank-you Robin!

No Z&W are by no means camera shy they love it...on the other hand I hate camera's or should I say being infront of them.

Yeah the bigger an older your kids get it seems to get harder because you really don't have any control anymore...and the problems just get bigger. It's was so much easier when they were babies.
I feel ya on kids that live with their fathers I have 2 son's that I haven't seen in years...it's even harder not knowing what kind of problems they may be going thru....

I'm glad you got the move over with...bet your tired.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, I went through that myself for about 2 months before I couldn't stand to do it anymore I was 14. My throat was completely burned up by my stomach acids that I could hardly eat at all. I drank a lot of broth and vowed never to do it again.

The video was adorable and you looked just fine and Zak and Wheezie looked great! My idea of not caring and going out is sweat pants and a t-shirt and there has been 2 occasions that I remember that I forgot a bra.

We are actually watching Dragons Tales right now

Were you able to stop by yourself or did you need to seek help? If you have any suggestions that you think might be helpful in my dealing with this situation an;or my daughter at this time please please feel free to PM me.

Thank-you!

I'm glad too. The tired part was actually Sat. night and yesterday. Hubby and I took off work today to recoup.

I'll be glad to get back to work though... I can only imagine what is waiting for me after being gone for 2 days  And I don't have any back-up.. It's me or no one.

Hang in the Barbara... Fortunately my girls haven't experienced that, but I did have to deal with my oldest son's defeatist attitude and suicidal tendencies. And he disappeared on me for about 4 months. I spent the entire time waiting for a knock on my door from the police asking me to come down to identify a body. But he is fine now... happily married with a daughter and another on the way.

I think life dictates that we all need to experience the bad in order to truly appreciate the good. As long as she has a great support system, I pray that she will come around.

Sending hugs and prayers your way.

P.S... I now live in 90 degree weather, so I can't torture you with mention of the beach. I know it's not as hot as where you are, but it is warmer than I am used to

I know how the throat burning is! I don't have any eating disorder, but I have had stomach problems all my life that no doctor or specialist can figure out. I have so much stuff that "comes up," my throat is really burned and the doctor said I can expect throat cancer within about three years if we don't get this under control.

Anyway, I have seen shows about people with eating disorders and my aunt had one for a few years. She (girl on tv) went to couseling and a lot of self esteem building workshops. She said she would look in tthe mirror and see fat. But after all of the counselors and workshops she just gradually stopped and is now fully recovered. :) Good luck with your daughter; I hope she gets better soon. :(

Wow! W&Z look great! You should be a movie star or news broadcaster! You sound so proffesional and definately know what to say in front of the camera! No ummmmms or thinking or anything! Z&W are definately the little camera hungry beardeds!

QUESTION: If Z&W were to breed, would their babies be more likely to be two headed (one bodied) than than other beardies?

Awww, Barbara, that is very cool! Z-n-W are just getting to be famous all over the place!
You are wonderful and amazing, and so are they!

(and I know all too well about going out in public without getting ready, I took Remi to Petsmart to get his picture made with Santa, and I had on a hat and sweats. Well, the news was there, and they love english bulldogs, and they wanted to film me and him, and I wouldnt let them b/c of how I looked   )

if any of you have played viva pinata there is a thing called a wild card which is a 1 in a million chnce you will create one from mating and if you do get one they are always majestic and amazing. This is how i feel about zak and whezzie, they are amazing and i bet you love them to death. I am happy that you have them because you seem like such a wonderful parent.

Finally got to view the video (work internet firewalls blocked it), and all I have to say is "wow!"

Barbara, I wish I looked that good when I run out of the house "unprepared". Shoot, if that had happened to me, the news crew probably would pay me to NOT be in the video. :laughing6:

Zak and Wheezie looked great! Wheezie didn't seem so impressed, but Zak sure was a camera hog.

Loved how the guy mentioned that they would be appearing on Animal Plant in September. Great promo!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
