Your Weekly feeding Schedule

I am still trying to get a good feeding schedule/routine down. I have a feeling I am offering too much food and too wide a variety as I am noticing a lot of wasted food.
Could someone please write a detailed feeding schedule? It would sure be helpful on this board to have one.

For example:
how many times per day?
If multiple feedings how is it broken down?
What are you feeding during those times?

Basically if you could just write down your weekly routine. It would be nice to hear from those who have been successfully raising dragons for a long period of time and those who have fully grown healthy dragons.

Thank you

I personally have for dragon food:
Rep Cal Juvenile Bearded dragon food
Herptivite Multivitamins & Calcium dusts
1 Week old crickets
Wax Worms
Phoenix Worms
Super Worms
Then all the common recommended veggies such as Collards, squash, carrots, green beans, etc...

I would skip out on the mealworms, their shells are super thick there's a serious risk of impaction.

As far as my feeding schedule, there is a lot of variation because i have beardies from 1 month to 1 year old. For my older dragons, my feeding schedule is just greens in the morning and all the roaches (dubia) they can eat in 10 minutes at night. I use superworms too for my full grown girl but I don't feed them everyday because they're a little to fatty. So I use those as treats.

I add my calcium to their greens because i've found it difficult to dust the roaches, it was just turning into to much work.

Whether babies, juvies, or adults they all get a salad first thing in the morning once they have warmed up. (providing the adult is not brumating)
Salads consist of 3 different green leafy veggies from this list http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html with a mixture of about 3 or 4 other types of veggies from that list at-least on type of squash goes in every salad. Once a week I treat them with fruit on their salads. Often I will also top their salads with RepCal beardie pellets. Two to three times a week they also get pumpkin in their salads. Also with the adult beardies I too dust salads rather than bugs. Being adult they get calcium 3 days a week and multi 2 days per week.

Babies and Juvies get their first feeding of bugs each day about an hour after salads are gone. Feeding them as many as they can eat in a 10 minute period. The first feeding of bugs per day are dusted with supplements...5 days a week calcium and 2 multi.

Adults get offered their bugs when I give the babies and juvies their second bug feeding for the day. Which the time varies as they usually let you know when they are hungry(but usually around noon). Also I offer the adults bugs everyday but often they only eat them a few days a week. Except for in the Spring and Summer then they will eat about 15 to 20 bugs per day or every other. Amounts will vary with types of feeders...for instance something with a higher nutritional value(such as PW's, horns, silkies, or roaches) will be more satifying to your beardie so they may not eat as much...than they would crickets.

After the second bug feeding the babies get another salad.
Then toward evening time about 3 hours before lights out the babies and young juvies get a 3rd feeding of bugs.

Bugs/feeders in my house also vary as I like to offer a variety so they get a more balanced diet.

Babies and juvies get...
Crickets
Roaches (Blatta Lateralis)
PW's
Hornworms when avail
Silkworms when avail
Butterworms
An occasional wax worm only as a treat.

Adult all the same with supers added to that list. Like DragonsInKansas supers are more of a treat or for beardies that are in need of gaining weight. I normally give them after everything else has been offered...or supers is all they will want. In my house supers are beardie desserts.

But hydration is a big part(dehydrated beardies don't normally eat) so somewhere in between feedings everyone must get a bath...daily for babies.

With adults it varies every morning if they are not brumating as mine go poop in their baths not their viv's. Or if they are brumating once a week to keep them hydrated while they sleep.
Also to help with hydration I spray their salads down real well with water this also will help the salad from drying out so quickly.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
