Your Dragons Favorite Munchies...

What is your dragons food that he would do anything for and just loves to eat? My dragons favorite food is canned shrimp and grasshoppers (chopped in 2 or 3 pieces) and ofcourse crickets. The shrimp says to use within 7 days but my dragon stops eating it within 4 days...it starts smelling funnier and funnier too so I just offer it to him as much as I can for 4 days and he usually gets bored of it and I have to throw it away :( Any suggestions on how to keep it fresher? I've tried room temp and refridgerated but it's the same thing both ways. Grasshoppers are also canned and I offer them to him whenever I can and he just can't get enough of those. It's the only food he opens his mouth and licks my fingers 2 or 3 times to let me know to keep them coming. And crickets...that is a different story. My boy stepped his game up...since he's about 6 or 7 months now, he has to get the big crickets. The small ones are tic tacs to him. What do your dragons like to munch on?

I've only had my anonymous wee guy for 5 days so all I can say is that he likes crickets and dark salad, haha. But for some reason prefers the crickets with calcium. :)

Dandylion greens are the unanimous fave on the salad side of the spectrum. As for treats chica will take off my hand at the elbow if i try to keep her from eating raspberries. And my little handy capped girl Beastie will litterally catch a dubia roach before i can drop it, he has "bent" bones in her front forearms and walks like she is doing an army crawl aross enemy lines. I tell you with all honesty that petco is evil and should be killed for insolence and bad UV lighting. Regradless of her disablity she is with out a doubt my best hunter. She will massacre any roach this side of the Rockys, lol. Oh and how could i forget, if i hold a green bean out chica will bite peices off untill its gone, with out fail every time. If i put down the bean its not fun any more and she will not eat it. Haha.

Maxx's favorite is small superworms...I think because they wiggle so much, she love to play "fetch" the wiggly squirmy thing.
For greens, I think mustared are her fav, but she also likes squash.

Tried my baby beardie earlier with his first mealworm. He's so noisy when he eats. I didn't expect worms to go *crunch crunch apidshadoiash*. o_O

Think they might be a new favourite :)

Mealworms are like cra*k to beardies, but they have a very hard exoskeleton, and have little nutritional value. We dont recommend you feed the, but there are other very nutritious treats out there!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
