Having your new beardie delivered to work, which is a bank, and watching everyone freak out. Hahahah... I had to sit on a conference call for an additional hour after I got him so I had him in my hands and people would turn the corner into my cube and freak. I loved it!!!!!!

He's home now, after a small side stop to petsmart for his heatlamp. We immediately took a bath in which he let out a big ole poo ... had some crickets and am now basking. Will upload pics later.

Awwwwwwwww. Good times :) I would've been way too nervous that he would sneak off during the conference call and get into trouble. (I'm a newb beardie mom so I'm super paranoid)

I had my Kenshin delivered to my office too. a bunch of people knew he was coming and they all wanted to see him. I'm like "I'm NOT taking him out of his cozy travel bin". Besides I didn't want them all trying to poke him. It was nice for his arrival to be greeted with a warm welcome and curiosity rather than spazziness :)

hehe, I have my feeders delivered to work. It took them a while, but they are used to me now..

I took Blazey and Esham (the monitor) to work once, though. They were a HUGE hit. Everyone always asks when I am bringing them back. Blazey will go for a visit soon.

Yay for freaking out the co workers. I'm sure most of them deserved it

For the first three months Semi went to the office with me. He had his own tank there identical to the one at home and everyone but one guy loved him. He loved everyone and had no stress whatsoever. The one guy that was terrified of little ole Semi is a hunter/fisherman that didn't look the part of a big scaredy cat but he was terrified of him. The owner called him the UIE mascot. Even now, being retired, I still take him into the office for visits. I used to cart roaches to the office daily for Semi and everyone wanted to watch him eat. I even gave him soaks in the bathroom sink. It's a good thing I was basically my own boss.

Cool that you were able to take him to work soo much! I was teasing my boss on friday that I was going to bring one of the boys with me to our holiday gathering! I figured he could sit on top of the casseroles and stay warm. ;)

I know exactly what you mean about a lot of guys freaking out when they see
them. During the summer months, I frequently take one of my three out for a walk, and have them on my shoulder as I walk around the neighborhood.

All the neighborhood's little kids can't wait to hold them, and pet them, and ask me all sorts of questions about them, even the little girls. However most of my male neighbors are scared to death of them. We also have a neighborhood bar one street over from us, and if I run into any guys that I don't know, the first question they ask is "it that thing real?" LOL I feel like saying "no, its a new style of broach for your shoulder, and it bites!? If I did, they'de probably head for the hills! :laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard:

People can be so silly sometimes about things that they know nothing about.....it never ceases to amaze me!

:laughhard: I love the mental picture of a dragon warming himself on the casserole pan. And the scaredy cats faces when they see him! Tooooo funny! :laughhard:

I love taking the dragons out - my two come for walks on specially made-by-me leashes! The design is based on a double cinch-loop, so if they do pull, it won't squish them or strangle them, but keeps them secure and is easy to fit and remove. We've got a list of pubs, restaurants and the like that happily accept our reptilian friends: in the summer we often stop at The Bell for a glass of lemonade to share. A few drips are good to lick! (We even snuck them in the cinema once, Ky went to sleep, T'sam watched it) It gives them a good chance to have a runabout in "the wild" too, T'sam likes to hare off through the grass attached to one of us, while Ky goes into commando mode.

We're often seen out and about on days off in good weather. My favourite comment is: "is it a toy?" Until the lizard turns to look at them. Hehehe!

Ky is modelling her green one for us at the moment, T'sam currently has a black one.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
