yellowish shed?

hey guys! i have a question about my 5 and a half month old beardie, Pixel.
she normally has a rough time shedding due to a past injury but right now she's shedding her belly and the skin that's getting ready to come off has a yellowish color to it.. is that normal? I've never seen it on my male but he always sheds his belly first so I rarely notice when he's starting to shed.

I've read a lot about the yellow fungus so I could just be being paranoid, there is no darkening or black/brown spots, she's acting normal as well.. she's eating every day, pooping, drinking, basking and running around like she always has.


any advice is appreciated!

I know exactly what you mean & there's no need to worry. I felt the same way about mine when she was shedding but it just all just flaked off to expose a nice pearly white belly. I was nervous for a few days though lol.

Is your beardie orange or yellow by chance?

oh thank goodness. i was getting really worried. she's and orangish/red and i'm starting to see some yellows and purples now that she's getting older is that was yours is?

lol she pretty much every color you described. She has a red sort of burnt orange tone to her backside, bright orange head and limbs. The scales in her beard are orange and yellow and this is starting to spill in to a pattern on her sides, just below the side spikes. Also, she has darker blue, purplish barring on her back as well. They are not well defined, but they are clearly there when you see her in the right light.

But anyway, yes I believe the yellowish tint is just the shed getting closer to coming off. When it does, take a good at the dead skin just so you can have a visual reference for later.
