Hi Rex is 13 month old male and I have noticed he keep gaping a lot and when I looked in his mouth I noticed his upper gum is yellow and looks a little like off cheese lol and I can see his veins. The rest of his mouth looks pink and he has not puffed his beard out or opened his mouth really wide like he would sometime I am wondering if it is sore.
He has clear salvia around the side of his mouth but only sometimes it appears and I smelt his breath and I can't smell anything.
His eating bugs and veg as normal and poops but a large amount at once.
Rex is in a four foot tank temps are 105 and cold end is 85.
Next health issue
Rex is really tired by the afternoon I am doing the twelve hour off and on at 7. But his laying down ready to sleep by 5pm. When I put the lights on in the morning at 7am his still a sleep and takes him half hour to come round and sit his head up I sometimes put lights out at half 6 and put them on slightly later because I feel sorry for him being tired and he still wants to lay down at 5pm. I live in London and we are having a bad summer so I don't know if his confused about the seasons if it's true what I have read about brumation.
I am a first time bearded dragon owner so I want the best for my little bubba. Would love some advice from someone with ideas. I have rang vet waiting for a call back to see if he needs check up I only took him a month ago and he gave him the all clear apart from some worm eggs in poop which has been sorted. Sorry for long story
