Sorry about not updating! They're doing much better! Max eats some live food now along with baby food, roux is a little pig that eats lots of bugs :) the second tank was bought and all set up, just waiting for the reptisun bulbs to arrive this week. Been taking them outside on the nice days though for some natural sun light. Working on getting them to eat greens but I'm sure they will eventually.

Got the reptisuns Wednesday, and Max has really improved with it! She's eating lots of live food now! I think they're both eating greens when I'm not home, too ;)

The fungus is looking SO much better! I'm just worried about this one spot on her right now, where it looks as if some of her scales have peeled off and it's kind of scabbed over? I'm not sure exactly, but wonder if I should let it heal on it's own or if there's anything I can do for it?

And some pics of the girls in general!

Hello,

They are looking better now. Are you using the ketoconazole on it now or did you go with lamisil?
Did you receive the Reptisun 10 already too?
I hope that they are doing better, they sure are pretty little things.

I went to pick some up at the vet but turns out they were all out, so I stuck to Lamisil.
Yes I got the reptisun as well :) it has improved max's appetite tenfold!

I have a question; max seems like she's shedding most of her body and it looks as though it is ready to come off, however it is stuck like dry skin to her. Some of it is barely flaking and I've tried gently rubbing those pieces off but they don't come off in big chunks like most beardies skin does, it flakes in tiny pieces.
Is there anything I can do to help her shed? I have a feeling this has something to do with the fungus.

Thank you :) I read also that I may be due to the dehydration. I'll keep up the baths and wait and see if eventually she can shed it herself.

Hello again everyone! Sorry for not updating lately, been pretty busy.

Some sort of random news; I got a shipment of crix in from LLL and it ended up being the wrong order they sent me! I got someone's 500 or less 1/4" crickets as opposed to what I ordered (1000 1/2" crix). But I sent an email and I'll be getting a free of charge (hopefully) correct shipment in tomorrow; I've never had trouble with LLL so I'm certain is was just a misunderstanding in the packaging process.

Today Max shed her head and a little bit off her front shoulder... however the part on her shoulder looks like it shed a few extra layers of skin! :(

I'm worried because this happened before, as mentioned in one of my previous posts. It's soft to the touch and doesn't SEEM to hurt, but then again I can't say for sure because she jumps a little no matter what I do (she's still pretty timid). But if I prod it gently she doesn't seem phased.

Roux is doing great! Little piggy she is. After I post this I'll get some regular pics of both of them. She ate a ton of the 1/4" crickets today, as I imagined she would! I'm also glad Max is eating crickets too, she seems to like them better than dubia :p I tell you I get the strangest beardies.

Edit: Well, I almost forgot to update on the fungus! It's nearly gone I believe! she looks so much better too.

Yup! From all I had read about it I thought it was going to be much harder to get rid of. But I'm glad it worked out well :)

I cried... I don't understand how people can let these little critters get in such bad shape. Those poor things must have suffered so much before you got them.

However, I am SO happy that you took them home and are giving them such wonderful care! It warmed my heart up after seeing their initial condition. Thank jeebus for people like you :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
