We have picked up a rescue of sorts, a great lady was selling a Beardie that had been with another male, some months ago. The result is a couple missing toes, and a wound on his nose. Following are pictures of the nose, the toes seem ok. How should we care for the wound?

try putting some neosporin on it for a little while and hopefully it will heal up nicely.

Poor little guy. He is a he? I'm not clear on that. I apologize but my brain in having about 4 mondays all today. Neosporin is good to use. Aloe Vera will work also, jut don't put them on in the am as the heat can do strange things to their skin if you put it on just before they bask. I just want to warn you: DO NOT EVER PUT HYDROGEN PEROXIDE ON ANY SORE ON ANY BEARDIE. I just want to you know that peroxide will kill the beardies skin, the healthy skin as well as the injured skin. Jasper, (not my beardie, he is Jaspers mom's beardie) who died a couple of months ago, had lost his tail because someone unknowingly put peroxide on his tail and the whole tail had to be amputated. He got around very well without his tail but I wouldn't want to see that happen to another beardie if I could warn someone not to use it on their beardie.
