Would this make for a good staple salad?

I found a pack of turnip, collard, mustard, and kale greens at walmart. All mixed together and all "organic", I also got some bell peppers (red, green, yellow, and orange)all in one pack, and some shredded carrots. Would this make for a good staple salad? I could mix up the peppers and carrots for other vegetables every week but keep the greens as a good base. I was planning on mixing it with a little bit of multivitamin powder and feeding it daily in the afternoon.

On this topic, I plan on giving my beardie one insect meal a day, she is a little over 14 months old. Should I change that to once every other day? The meal is Black Soldier Fly Larvae. Also, should I feed that in the afternoon or in the mornings?

If you can, go through and pick the majority of the kale out and only give that once in awhile. Kale is high in vitamin A as are carrots which can be toxic in high amounts to beardies. But giving both once-twice a week as a treat will not hurt. The rest of the greens you have mentioned are fine and will actually provide a good variety. A few more good staple veggies are, butternut, yellow, and acorn squash along with many others. Squash is my personal favorite since one squash goes a long ways and is pretty inexpensive. Beautiful dragon.com is a wonderful site with some great info on what is safe to feed beardies. I encourage you to visit that site when you have time.

As far as insects go it's fine to feed him once everyday. BSFL are a great staple to use. There is a vendor on eBay named symton who sales 1000 grown by Texas A&M University in a controlled environment for around 20 bucks free 2day shipping who I highly recommend. Give them a look they are awesome. It is completely up to you when you feed him insects. You can leave salad in his enclosure all day and feed him insects for supper, or you can feed them first and than place salad in his enclosure. Most feed salad first before insects just to encourage their beardie to eat some salad first. If your dragon is good at eating his salad than whenever you choose to feed insects shouldn't be a problem.

Sweet! Thank you for all of this information! I just picked out most of the kale haha (as much as I could identify anyways) I'll see about buying a squash tomorrow then instead of the carrots and use those myself ;)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
