Worried...

My baby Natsu is now 5 months and 10 days old. For the past month he has been seeming to brumate a bit. His appetite has decreased and he's been sleeping a lot. Everyday I still prepare a salad. Every few days he'll wake up and bask and walk around. Some days when he's awake he will eat and stay up for about a day before he poops, then he'll go back to lazing around. Well, 2 days ago, on Saturday, he was awake, basking, so I figured I'd try some dubias . He ate 10 roaches total. Today he ate a BUNCH of pheonix worms. My concern is that he hasn't pooped. He hasn't pooped since he ate the dubias. Normally he poops within a day of eating...it's been 2, going in 3, days. There is nothing hard in his stomach at all btw. I'm worried. He's my baby. What do some more experienced owners on here think?

Has he basked since eating? He would need to continue to bask to digest properly. A few days without a poop isn't concerning in itself though. How is his weight? I would keep track of it to ensure he isn't losing weight. If he doesn't poop within the next few days you might want to take him out and try a warm bath for a few minutes and see if that helps.

He'll be O.K. Sub adult + dragons can go pretty long without pooing [ even a 5 month old ] usually. To help him out, offer some unsweetened applesauce, baby food squash, canned pumpkin [ with no spice [ and with a few drops of veg.oil and/or honey. Use any of those or a combo of those. Then give a nice warmer than usual bath. That should produce a poo within a few days. I see I'm posting the same time as Cooper.

Ok. I have done a bath. I'll do another warm tubby. I'll try some of the other stuff as well. His weight is stable (203g on 11/12 and 207g tonight)...I just got the scale on the 12th but I plan on weighing him at least once a week and I've been keeping a chart with results. He has been basking daily since Saturday...that's why I thought it was weird that he didn't poop yet. I'm just an over concerned mama I guess haha

It's great that his weight is stable. He'll be fine =). It's good that you keep a weight chart. It's a good way to identify possible issues early on. Give it some time and definitely try some of the things AHBD suggested to help things along if he doesn't poop within the next few days.
