Hey every one,

My local pet stores only sell Small and Large crickets, the small's are very small (Tiny, slip thru the cracks in the cricket keeper I have small) and the larges are quite large. The pet store staff and I stood there and sifted through 200 crickets to pick out 30 mediumish ones so that we could try and get a good size feeder for him. He's eaten quite a few of these medium ones. Anyway, when I came home from work today, there were about 4-5 poops in his tank. However, one of them looks like a Whole cricket still. I am really worried! Could he have regurgitated it out his mouth before digesting it? The other 3 poops look completely normal with urate. Anyone know what could have cause this or if I should be worried? I added some pics of his normal poops too.

Here are his normal poops, which is what they look like every day other than today when I saw these Whole crickets as poop! Or Regurgitate or something. Anyway,

Normal Poops:

And here are the whole cricket "things". There were 2, one much larger than the other. The only explanation that I can come up with is that he tried to eat too many of the large ones and regurgitated a bit of it up in order to lay comfortably to digest the rest of his food. Mind you, He also hasn't eaten all day today!

You should remember to also feed your beardie greens to such as lettuce (not iceberg) carrots, apples, bananas, etc remember to chop it up into bite sized for your beardie, and all the poop looks normal it's usually brownish black if they've been eating lots of insects and if they've been eating veggies it's a greenish color. And to answer your question about his poop looking like a full cricket, that may not be poop that's him throwing up the cricket most likely because it may of been to big for your little guy, make sure his still eating good other than that you shouldn't be worried, only feed him crickets the length in between his eyes same goes with any other food you feed him

Hi. If those were bigger then the space between the eyes he might be having trouble digesting them. How old is he? What are the temps on his basking spot? What kind of lights do you use? Brands?

Hi there....that is definitely vomit. As the other posters mentioned, the insects need to be no longer than the space between his eyes, plus the temp. has to be warm enough for digestion, around 105. Beardies usually will not eat for a day or 2 after vomiting.....once he starts eating again be sure they are not too large. If you still have some that are slightly too large you can pull the head + legs off and just offer the abdomens of the crickets. Beardies are usually thirsty after they vomit, so offer extra water by dripping it on his nose for as long as he'll drink, or if he'll drink in the bath [ 10 minute shallow + warm water ] He should be fine.

Thank you all so much!!! Yes, he did drink lots that night, I gave him a nice soak for about 15 or 20 minutes in nice warm water and he drank quite a bit of water. He didn't eat at all the next day, and just had some food today. I made sure to give him much smaller crickets today, and he also ate some greens! He's shedding as well (A bunch of flakes coming off around his face). I gave him a short bath today to brush him clean and get that dead skin off him. He's been runnin around in his enclosure since then, basking under his light (It's sitting at about 105-108* right now)and even eating more greens. I still need to get him in to get his eye looked at by the vet, but he seems to be doing well other than that. Thanks again!! :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
