Igor --who is approaching his 9th b'day -- was seemingly uninterested in his food--even ignoring his favorite crickets as they hopped by him. His color had gotten paler. So today I took him to the small animal vet. She found an area that was bulging which turned out to be fluid--which she is sending out to test. Blood was also drawn. I have him on a regimen of antibiotics, iron and force feeding (special nutrition). The vet thought he might have a hematoma causing this and might be anemic. This is all very challenging to adminster but hopefully it will help him. I am so worried about the tests and what they will show and what I will have to decide. He was my son's pet but he is now mine. Has anyone ever had something like this happen to their beardie?
