Hey all thank you for taking the time to read this, it might just be a silly worry but I have had my beardie for exactly 7 weeks today and have no clue how old he was when I got him, I'm guessing a month tops probably much younger. ( I got him from pet co as a baby so I have no clue how old but young for sure). Within 4-5 days he shed and was growing at a ridiculously fast rate! I loved it lol you could see him get bigger each day! But about a week after his shed he hasn't gotten much bigger. I haven't weighed him so I am sure he has grown a little bit but not another shed or anymore inches. I even moved him up to a new viv with more space and decorations but no bones!
Is this normal? What could I feed him differently to encourage growth? Also any guesses on age?
Sorry to ramble but I wanted to be detailed ask any questions you need I will answer!
Substrate: Repti carpet with a "stack able rocks" (from the pet store) for the border.
He has the repti sun 10.0 and two 60watt house hold bulbs for basking/heat one is mounted inside and the other is sitting on top for the heat. (UVB also inside)
I switch up his greens collard/mustard so far plus I throw in things like carrots peas and random fruits as treats randomly. (and he is a good boy eats his greens everyday)
He mainly eats crickets but I want to switch it up to help him grow
My crickets eat Fluker's calcium dry food mix plus celery potatoes and have moisture cubes.
One thing I will say is I was misinformed about what type of calcium he needed and so I didn't start the additional cal powder "shake and baking" until recently
Here is a pretty good pic of his whole viv!
