Hello, everyone! So my dragon has fancyer tastes than crickets as all of you who follow the adventures of ares know. My question is, is it safe for him to only eat silkworms, butterworms and repti-worms? Sadly, dubias aren't an option, my mom is terrified of them, and placed a ban on all imports  If it is safe, how should I do dusting with calcium? Thanks, guys!

warning I am not a expert
from what very little I know they just won't get all the minerals and vitamins.Dusting is a must on worms unless he/she will eat prepared pellets just a matter of taste for them. You might try super worms.
For dusting I just roll them in it best not to fed meal worms impaction isis deadly

So he is still a nubile, like 7 inches, so he is too small for supers. Dusting with vitamin powder a go, then.

Reptiworms are great, and I'm pretty sure silks are also really good. You will probably have to order silks online, and some places also sell hornworms which I hear can be a fun treat. I've not used worms too much but just ordered a combo pack of a variety to try out.
You dust them the same, in a little baggy or cup. I don't think the reptiworms need to be dusted as frequently if at all since they are high in calcium. Of course vitamins should still be on the normal schedule.
Superworms go over great but, may put him off other feeders if he likes them too much. They are relatively easy to breed and readily available.
I'd keep butterworms as a treat.

I read your post on that. I'm still debating whether to try them or not. I'm worried that he will get tired of just repti-worms and silks. He is too small for hornworms, he's just 7 inches. P.S that was supposed to be little guy, I have no idea where nubile came from. New reptile... combined into new slang word, newbile!

I'll have to check about the calcium, but definitely still dust them twice a week with vit/min. That's important. Same with silks. I answered more on Ares post.

Lol I interpreted it as nubby.
Horns come in small little babies too but it sounds like they grow super fast! He'll get big quicker than you can imagine! Pepper has put on an average of 1" per month! It's even more dramatic for the itty bitty ones.

I wouldn't rule out the butterworms, treats are good too. I'm still getting some and if he likes them there is nothing wrong with a little dessert :)

Who knows Ares might decide crickets are awesome someday down the road. Lol.

Great! Where are you going to get the variety pack of worms? Is the price good? I'm getting mine from lindasgonebuggy.com. They are pretty good.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
