I’ve been thinking of changing my girl’s staple from locust to superworms? I was thinking about using reptiworms but they're too small and pricey! Any opinions will be greatly appreciated :)

The thing i have found with superworms is that they put on weight quickly. Beardies should have variety anyway so i use locusts one feeding and superworms the other. I sometimes add butterworms but they too can be pricey

I've found Reptiworms to be the best choice for myself and my dragon but then again, I was feeding crickets. You'll go broke feeding them, I also feed butters, they are fatter so not as many to fill a belly.

I feed crickets..lol. But that's only because mine is a baby, when he gets older I will probably vary from crickets, to hornworms, pheonix worms, or superworms..there is a ton out there to choose from, just some of them are expensive.

Thanks for your input everyone! I think I’ll give her a mixed staple of locust and supers then and also they odd butterworm as a treat and see how she gets on with that. :)

And also how many supers would you say would be in 40 grams portion of them?

butterworms have less fat than crickets- butterworms are 5.2% fat where as crickets are 6% :D

Levi loves butter worms more then wax worms but I guess thats best since their the fatty suckers.

Its a shame that you can only use wax worms as treats, my beardie LOVES them- she comes running when she hears the lid opening lol

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
