Won't eat silkworms?

So I'm all excited to get my first shipment of silkworms for my little guy, I offer him some this morning, & he was completely uninterested! He licked them a few times, watched them intently like he does his other live feeders, then just turned his head & backed away like "I'm SO not eating that!" I've always heard beardies LOVE silkworms, so I'm very surprised. He loves his butterworms, & I figured these would be a similar shape/texture so I'm curious why he would shun them.

Anyone else's dragon dislike silks? Any ideas to make him try them? I have 25 live ones right now but I didn't order extra food for them so they won't last long if he doesn't warm up to them soon. :\

My Boodah, who is 10 weeks old, refuses to eat the small silkworms. He did the same thing as ur beardie, licked them a couple times n then ignored them. He also doesn't like phoenix worms but LOVES the micro superworms. My other beardie, Crush, who is almost 7 months old, devours the silkworms. They each have their own likes n dislikes just like their personalities!

Mine all do that too, i haven't tried silkies yet but only 1 of them will eat supers. 2 of them love hornworms and 1 is a roach fiend. They all have their tastes and it's my favorite thing about them. Feeding my poppers is probably the highpoint of my day. lol.

Hehe, and I thought I was the only one making this experience with Rand. I got him hornworms before and he loved them. So I ordered some silkworms last week and he will get personally offended when I offer them. He lickes them once, takes two steps back and looks at me like 'Are you serious? Would you eat THAT?Better come up with plan B and quickly!'
Luckily my tweo leopard geckos will eat them and so I did not have to toss them out... Guess it is back to hornworms as a treat ...
