He won't eat them! Is there any good way to make him interested? I really thought that he would've loved them. I even tried throwing some waxworms in the bowl with them and he wouldn't go for it. I'm going to give crickets tomorrow to see if he just wants more movement. He's not impacted or anything (he pooped today and yesterday, substrate-tile/repticarpet), and he's acting normal : running, basking, climbing, jumping. He ate waxworms and crickets two days ago, and he hasn't eaten since. Not a major concern yet, but I would like to get him eating soon.

When I had Wink as a baby, I bought him some PWs and he wouldnt eat them at first either. I stuck some in his mouth so he would taste them, and once he discovered how nommy they were he would eat them on his own. :) Not sure if that will work with all beardies, but I find that if I have them taste something that they dont want to try on their own, they usually end up loving it LOL!

That's a good idea. I woke up today, and I checked on him, and there was 1 worm missing. I go to get crickets, and all the worms are gone. Good, so I take him out to give him crickets and refill the bowl. He won't eat crickets now and he's had 3 servings of worms! Picky little guys...

ROFL Andy. :)

I learned that lesson the hard way. I gave Dash his worms first one day, then offered his crickets. Nothing doing! He ignored them completely, finally eating them at night when I refused to give him anything else and he got good and hungry.

Now he gets his crickets first, then the worms for snacking during the day.

Haha. I think I'll use that method. Except I think I'll replace "crickets" with "roaches" :)

My roach colony is still in the growing stage, so I am avoiding feeding him any out of it quite yet, but yes, I am looking forward to getting out of the bulk cricket business :)

Man they're picky huh? Mine will turn his nose at just about anything if it's not the perfect timing  The only thing he has never once turned down is superworms. I think it's their squirminess. It just gets him going.

I agree Kimmie. I was worried that after being out of stock for a couple weeks Dash would be off the Phoenix Worms, but thankfully he still loves 'em! They are just such a pleasure to keep and feed - too bad they are too pricey as a staple.

I think that Dash was thinking about phoenix worms the whole time he didn't have them. lol. They are way too pricey, but I'll probably order them again anyway :p . The things we do for our babies...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
