PWs have a good protein/fat ratio so yes, they can be fed as a staple. :) Our girl refused crickets for a time after we introduced PWs, but we still offered them however, and within a few weeks, she was mad for the crickets again also. I believe the PWs really helped to stimulate her appetite in general, and in time the PWs became "not new" and beardies--like many of us--tend to like some variety in their feeders. She has been eating one meal of each happily, for months now. :)

The best,

Thanks and yes they do work wonders cuz now he eats his greens 2 get to them

That's great. "The moving salad" really can be a great help in getting them to eat the greens. We've had good success with this as well and none too soon... she's 10 months for goodness sakes! :)

one more thing do i still have 2 dust the salad with d3

Because phoenix worms are high in natural calcium, and your dragon is eating a good deal of them each day then no, I'd say no need to dust with calcium (salad or worms). However, you do want to powder worms (and salad also if you like) with multi-vites 2 meals per week, so that beardie is getting regular vit. D3 along with other vitamin supplements. :)

Ah, there is nothing like being a proud beardie parent!

Sounds like you've got it covered on the vites!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
