I work in a nursing home, too! I have thought of taking one of our adults here, not our youngsters. The adults are much calmer and the residents would be able to really look at them and touch them easier than our younger dragons. I also second the suggestion of bringing hand sanitizer. Other people may not be aware but there are extremely strict guidelines in nursing facilities regarding salmonella. I realize there are a lot of ways to get it, but because state regulations are so strict, you would want to be as preventative as possible. One interesting fact is - a nursing home cannot have fresh eggs for omelettes or anything. This is because of the risk of salmonella. SO these poor old farts have to eat Egg Beaters or fake egg product. They ask for real eggs all the time, but the State won't let us serve them.
