Woah -- small Supers are SMALL....

Ok, I'm an id!0t. It's official. For whatever reason (I'm sure there were many at the time) I decided to get small superworms instead of the large superworms that I normally do.

Well those suckers are pretty small. I realized how stupid I was only AFTER I dumped them into a new bin full of Oatmeal. I have no idea how to easily get them back out for feeding! Bah!

How long do they live, and how fast (roughly) do they grow? Anyone have any advice on how to get them out of the oatmeal easily? lol

Can you try like a mesh like colander and sift them out ? I dumped 100 small ones on my carpet once! Nightmare! I've only been able to keep them alive for about 2 weeks myself. Good luck!

Yeah, I'll have to play around with different collanders, slotted spoons i guess. I hope these guys last longer than a few months! There are a thousand of them, and Zilla barely eats. My large ones, i usually order 500 at a time, and they last me (him haha) around 4 - 6 months each time. I was hoping the smaller would entice him to eat more. Like, having a whole bowl of little jiggly worms would be better than a few bigger ones.

We'll see how it goes!

Mine always die after a couple weeks. I only get like 100 at a time. Because I just use them as treats. I may use them as more of a staple this winter. Who do you order yours from?

I've been getting them from mulberry farms and having them shipped. I just keep them in the old fashioned oatmeal and change it out every couple months or when it gets to fine. I feed them potato carrots and lots of greens.

They are growing fairly quickly I've noticed. They are eating like pigs, so at least I get the veggies into Zilla that way. Lol
