he at thtat age really shouldnt have any sand--I am sure one of the mods can tell you why.
How are you taking the cage temp normally? A digital thermometer with probe, temp gun or the accurite thermometer (with probe) are thermometers to get to see basking spot temps=for the digital you put the probe on his basking spot wait 30-45 mins and that is the temp. The accurite is the best one out there tho and can get at walmart for @$15

I will definitely pick up the accurite, and see what his basking temp is... stay tuned...

How are things going for your dragon today?
You can give some probiotics definitely during his hookworm treatment. Is he only getting that one time per week, right?
What type of digital thermometer are you using? Is it a stick on type, or one with a probe at the end of it?
As Munchkins stated, temperatures are very important.
Please let us know how things are going for him. It sounds like his appetite has picked up some too.

He is doing okay. He hasn't gone to the bathroom much in the last few days. I'm giving him baby food: applesauce, and sweet potatoes. He seems to still like his crickets, but he's down to probably 1/2 of what he was eating.
The vet told me to give him 3 doses of the anti-wormer 1x a day (1 a day for 3 days) and then give him the last dose in 2 weeks, whereby they would like a stool sample.
The temp gage is a digital that measures temp and humidity.

Make sure to give him extra fluids right now since he is on some meds. That is ok 3 days in a row, then 1 more in a couple of weeks. What is the amount in the syringe he is getting, the dose, do you know?
His appetite should come back pretty soon, but the medication rounds always tend to slow them down a little bit.
Do you have any probiotics to use for him? That will really help his tummy out while he is on his medications.
So he likes his baby food then, at least he is getting some food since his cricket intake has decreased right now. Keep us posted on him.

The amount is 1.5cc.
Good to know that meds slow their eating down, I was beginning to get worried. He still hasn't gone to the bathroom in a couple of days, maybe 7? Thinking of putting him in the bath again. I've been advised to never use sand as a substrate, no matter what the packaging says. Why are they able to even sell that stuff?!?
Also, I have not been giving Ozzie probiotics.

How is Ozzie doing, did you add some probiotics to the regime for him?
Which antiwormer are you using, Panacur? He is getting 1.5ml of dewormer, daily? Is that a diluted solution I hope? If not, that is quite a bit of drug to go into his system.
Has he gone to the bathroom yet? A bath would definitely help him though, so hopefully he wont mind one.
I don't understand how they can continue to sell the calcium based sand either, it just is not safe.

Sorry, I miscalculated the dosage, it is 0.15cc.
He is still not eating much, add to that stress, my husband is convinced I am starving him to death!
