I tried searching this first but couldnt seem to find anything with juat winking. My beardie keeps winking only his left eye. I heard it could be dehydration but he gets baths every other day or could be some vitamin deficiency or possibly lighting. I did recently buy him a new reptisun 10.0 t8 and put it inside cage and before he only had the compact in the dome. I would hate to switch back to the dome bc its practically useless. If anyone has any information of what to try or if its nothing to worry about please let me know. Thank you

How close is the new bulb to where he sits to bask in the UVB light? That specific bulb should be 6-8" above where he sits.

The closest he can get to the bulb is 6 1/4. I have the fixture running through the middle of the enclosure. It doesn't sit right on top of him. I didn't want to lower everything to put it right on top of him but I will of I have to, since the bulb isn't blocked by anything on the sides he will get same amount of light whether it was on top of his basking spot or not right? That's where its 6 1/4 from.
