ok my maxwell is 3 and a half years old a complete fatty 19.5 inches long from head to tail and about 750 grams maybe more . i always put his cage by a window because i think he likes to look outside and be my guard lizard.lol but i did notice that everyime hes by a window theres two weeks out of the summer that he will not eat his worms i take him outside everyday and he loves to eat clover outside and he poops regualry but im seriously lucky if i can get him to eat 5 worms a week during this time..now last summer i lived in an appartment and the window was too tall to let he see out of and he didnt experience this at all..could the window be affecting him heres his set up?
75 gallon tank
reptisun 10.0 bulb
a zoo med basking bulb, that i use for heat only (no this is not the issue he has used the same bulbs since he was 7 months old)
his flooring is tile :)
and his temps range about 94-100 on the warm side
and 86-87 on the cool side
usually before thuis streak he eats 5 mealworms a day like nothing like going after my fingers for more and then i give him greens that he eats as he pleases during the day.
but during this streak all i can get him to eat is the clover plants outside which is better than nothing but it cant be fulfilling id think i dunno ?

I'm not an experienced dragon keeper, so don't take anything as definatly correct, but I've read the cool range should be 70-80 degrees, so possibly its too warm?

update..
yesterday the boyfriend got a wild hair and decided to move maxs tank away from the window just for curiosity purposes..and well he ate that night his normal 5 meal worms and he ate this morning as well so i really think that was the issue and now that i think about it makes perfect sense!

You are NEVER suppost to put a glass tank in front of a window it will definatly over-heat and if its to hot you could get a dehydrated beardie.

I agree with Charmander.. you shouldn't put your beardies home by a window.. it will overheat if it gets direct sunlight. I take Jango out of his home about once or twice a day and let him bask in the sun on the windowsill while watching him.. if it's warm out I open the window so he can see out the screen and feel the warmth.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
