hey guys im new to this BD life, so sorry if im mythering everyone i just need as much info as possible to make merlins life the best it can be! i have only had him a few days hes about, 4 months old (or so they told me at the shop) and about 8 inches from head to tail! i have been feeding him mealies for the last 2 days since i got him, i got some, 3rds crickets i put like 3 or 5 in the viv and he didnt eat them. there still in there i couldnt catch them and (partially because im quite scared of them haha) someone posted an idea before get a bin and put a few in and put merlin in there. but wont they climb out??? x

You can try a bin make a cheep screen to throw over the top when you feed him. You shouldnt leave crickets in With your BD because they can bite and cause infections to your BD

I just got my 3's.. I dont know if Ricco has ever had them or not?
I was freakin out on how to get those lil nasty jumping things out of the box from fluckers!!! :shock:
I ended up dumping about 10 in there...He's eaten about 3 so far..
Introducing new foods to him, since he seems to just eat carrots, romain, and mealies.
Oh I give him wax worms too, he prefers them over the mealies

So the remaining crickets after how long.... Should I take them out if he's not eaten them??

Always make sure that you have gotten every cricket out of the cage after they eat, a criket will accually chew on your reptile wile its sleeping.

But how long do I leave them in there after I've fed him, they've been in there about an hour now.
