this is my first post so bare with me, I got my beardie about 4 months ago and she was around 7 months old everything was good in the beginning she has a 40 gallon tank and a reptile UV 150 megawatt bulb which came highly recomended, and on the other side a combo heat/flouresant dome heat for night and flourasent for day. So lighting is good. Eats greens like their goin out of style not a big fan of fruit and eats crickets just fine. I supplement around every other day, So from what ive read all thats good. A little while after having her she started going down hill so i got her to the vet to discover the typical coccidia and pin worms . I treated her and she seems to be doing well and isnt constantly doing this weird like uncontrollable bearded display that had me knowing it was time to see the vet and to this day i still figured again from what ive read that that can be a cause of being heavily parasited. So all in all Shes in tip top shape but the only thing i cant figure out is what breathing normally looks like she doesent weeze but it seems as if when she ehhales her sides suck in pretty far so its not so much the rate its more of the form im curiuos as can be to if its normal or if im just paranoid and its paying off. Note shes close to a year old , sheds well and is around 150 - 175 grams at 12 inches

Hello,

She is almost a year but only 12 inches in length? That is rather small for her age.
You are using a Megaray mercury vapor bulb? A 100 watt or 160 watt? If you are using a 160 watt bulb that is pretty overbearing for a 40 gallon tank. I recommend using a 100 watt bulb. The 160 watt has a distance requirement of 17 inches while the 100 watt has a distance requirement of 12 inches.
What are the temps in the tank, & what do you use to measure the temps with?
When does she appear to breathe hard like that? When she is just basking or while running around? They normally do breathe to where you can visibly see their sides go in & out fairly well.
Can you post a picture of her?
What do you feed her?
Do you supplement calcium for her?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
