ok, I've looked up feeding bearded dragons wild caught bugs, and most seem to be ok, but I want to check and see what you guys thing. The insects I'm wondering about are, grub worms, pill bugs, earth worms, and june bugs. I was told by my male's previous owner that he likes june bugs. I wanted to make sure he couldn't get impacted by the hard shell before i gave him any.

Generally it's not recommended to feed bugs from outside because they could have injected pesticides or carry disease. Whatever you decide to do though make sure to NEVER FEED FIREFLYS as they are very toxic.

Thats good! I guess we don't really have any feed-able bugs in my area so I can't help you much with personal experience. Just mosquitoes, fly's and ticks unfortunately... I wonder if they'd go after a dragon fly? Every year we get this huge swarm and there's always one that finds its way into the house or car.

Oh, wow. We usually don't get those, except for the mosquitoes. :( I hope they can have grubs. We have a lot of them in the flower beds, so I'll be really happy to get rid of those.

I've heard from different lizard owners, is that if you keep the wild caught bug for 24 hours and gutload it and it survives then it should be okay to feed to your lizard.

Not sure how true that is though....hopefully you get a good amount of feedback

I think I'll try that. My boy is so lazy he hates chasing crickets, so I'm hoping to find something slower. He already eats superworms, but I was hoping to add some variety to his diet.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
