i just saw a preview ad on tv about friday night's Wife Swap show. it claims to be about an animal obsessed wife and a fashion obsessed wife. the clip shows bearded dragons. just thought i'd let you know, in case anyone besides me is planning to be home of friday night. Diane

I think I saw that 1, the chick supposedly got rid of all but a couple dogs that she put outside (she was a clean freak). The animals were actually put in a pet resort place til the show was over is what I read. No pet lover in their right mind would allow their pets to be tossed by someone else for a reality show.

I think that this show encourages the slightly insane and encourages descrimination and stereotyping....

I have 21 critters living in my home and my home is spotless, I dare anyone to come to my home and say my animals are dirty or that my home smells. But if I tell people that I have all these animals, they assume I am a hoarder and that my house is nasty. Suprise, suprise, my house is beautiful and all my animal cages are cleaned daily. Good animal husbandry equals healthy pets.....

I hate these shows that portray people who care for pets as unclean. It gives all of us a bad rap.

Just my 2 cents....I am boycotting the show. :roll:

I'd have to say the best episodes was that BIG religious lady, she had me rolling on the floor darn near laughing at her. Course the scary thought is there really ARE freaks like her in the world *shudders*

OMG...that lady was flipping NUTS!!! We all laughed ourselves silly watching that...and watching it again on reruns. I wonder if she ever watched herself and thought WTF?!? :wink:

You know someone made a Bobble-Head of her and sold it on Ebay.. I only caught the last 20min of the show last night, I was watching the hockey game.

I watched the show...as my 9 year old was like...."Mom there are reptiles on wife swap"...lol. What I didn't like is the house was disgusting and dirty so in that respect... :x I am like the other poster.....we are anal about our house. The one part of getting reptiles was the fact that if you keep it clean there is virtually no smell. Granted we clean their cages everyday and typically as soon as we catch a poo. (Bob is very paticular)...lol.

Also after watching it my child made me swear we would NEVER do wife swap....as if... :roll: I think I would pretty much take someone out if they touched my reptiles or gave them to some noob that had no idea how to take care of them.

we watched that episode, it was so funny!! My favorite part was when the woman took pets into the other household lol!! Now i wont say my house is spotless by any means but you walk in and other than seeing one of my dogs and my beardie you would never know i had animals. like i say i do get lazy on those dishes, but my animals are very well kept,lol!!!
