Why won't my beardie hangout with me?

I got my bearded dragon about 5 months ago.. He's a very fun guy who loves running around and exploring new areas. Ever since I got him, I would always let him free-roam my room. He likes to climb everything and lick every new surface. He likes being stroked, and he lets me handle him with ease, however he never just lays around with me. The longest he'll sit on me is a minute before running off somewhere.. I love his curiosity but I'm wondering if he'll ever chill out when he gets older? Thanks!

My beardie is like this too! I think he just enjoys running around since he is so young and exploring new things. It looks like the older they get, the more they settle down. Just keep handling him and I'm sure he will come around!

Sounds just like how my boy Toothless was …. he had ants in his pants and was really curious about everything. He settled down eventually.

Your's will too , may just take another 12 months before he becomes more interested in just hanging and snuggling.
